selfishness sucks

talk is cheap, but words are expensive. i’ve been so disappointed lately in how i’ve been hearing people and hearing about people using their words. (i’m included in the people i’m disappointed in)

in some circumstances, i’m let down and my feelings are hurt.

in some circumstances, i’m angry and defensive.

in some circumstances, i want to act, fight back, retaliate.

in some circumstances, i want to crawl up in a hole and become a recluse.

in some circumstances, i want to work it out with truth and love.

there are a couple things i’d like to remember.
1. life is not about me. selfishness sucks. (i so want to get a tshirt that says that, i always have.)
2. 9.999 times out of 10 there’s always a bigger picture that not everyone can see and we ought to take that into consideration before we react and respond.
